2/22/2012 Here we go again with the latest hammer on the consumer. Recently the Catholic Church has put pressure on the administration to not include birth control and limit prenatal care. Health care in America is domain of these large organizations the plummet the resources, including religious organizations. They claim non profit status which is about as phony as anything. What a joke. Again the middle class get pushed further into a corner, to further the wealth of a few. Time to wake up America. Its all being taken away piece by piece.
2/22/2012 The Supreme Court ruling that corporations are individuals and can put any amount of money into campaigns has made a big joke of our elections. Its especially interesting to see that small states basically pick who can run. This is just another bad joke on America. A recent article pointed out that Supreme Court justices do not have to list gifts or perks given to them. This is shocking.
2/12/2012 The basic stability of a country lies in a sound banking system. In a new report, financial institutions made 30% of all profits in this country. Banks love the boom and bust economy. They promote it when they need a little extra cash. One of the debates when the founding father wrote the constitution, was that of having private or public banking. I think we have had quite enough of private banking, credit card ripoffs, payday loans. The list goes on and on. If anyone wanted to start a new financial product, they could do it with little regulation. If we wanted to start a hot dog stand in our city, we would need endless permits. Its time we had a stable public owned banking system in America. I think the rest of the world is a little tired of America's ponzi schemes as well. Banks need to protect our money, provide good loans and that's it!. The last thing we need is the banks to do is play risky bets with all our money and yet that is exactly what they did. The republicans want you to believe that the private sector banks give us the most value for services. REALLY ??? Just like the health care companies? Bottom line is these are giant monopolies playing the 99% of us for suckers that won't take a stand.
2/12/2012 In a new study, the US leads the other industrial nations by having the most poor. A whopping 17%. It also leads the other industrialized countries in many areas of health care too. We are leading these countries in infant mortality. Hmm, I guess we need to raise the health care premiums so we can get that the level of care these other countries have. Its time to take a stand. The joke is on the middle class and poor. Call it class warfare or whatever you want. Its real. Class warfare has been waged and 99% of us lost, for now.
2/12/2012 While the news media and republicans portray the tax debate as raising taxes again, they detour the debate about raising taxes. The coddled wealthy pay a far less percentage than the 99%. Fair is fair. If you are fortunate enough to make lots of money, then you should pay the same rate we all do. No breaks. The argument about wealthy create jobs is far from the truth. The wealthy have had a super low tax rate for years and no jobs. I guess that doesn't work. Mexico has a 10% tax rate. Don't you love the infrastructure they never build. We will sink into the despair of a country like Mexico if we do not pay our bills at a fair tax rate. I think we should collect all the taxes from the wealthy they have gotten out of over the last ten years and pay our bills! Deficit wiped out.
2/12/2012 In every way and the ideals of America, yes be patriotic. But the 1% in this country could care less. They will dump the jobs at any chance, cheat the system, just to make more money. Being a patriot stops when we are talking about making money for these people. When we need our military we call on brave young people to do the dirty work. Of course to save America. America goes to wars to benefit corporations. Think about it. Companies do business in America because it is safe. Our military protects us. Some of these companies want to be protected in America and ship their manufacturing offshore. The very soldiers that keep us safe come home to no jobs.
2/2/2012 In a comment to CNN Romney says he does not care about the poor. "They have government safety nets". Its been reported that 15% of the US population is poor. The Republicans want to dismantle many of those safety nets. I think this "number of people poor" is like the unemployment number. The true unemployment number has to be more than 25% in the country. Anyone living in a middle class neighborhood in America can do the math for themselves. Many of the neighbors are not working and they want too. Its time to start thinking about the constant drone of messages that come from very wealthy people through political candidates. Reduce taxes to the rich because they are the job creators. Lets get real, the job creators are small businesses. Small business in America creates the vast number of jobs. Those companies are hurt and not hiring, thanks to the policies paid for by the very wealthy in this country.
2/2/2012 Now that the Supreme Court allows unlimited donations from wealthy individuals and corporations, the gloves are off. It seems like these PAC's do little to disclose where the money comes from. The 1% want to intervene in American politics all the time without anyone knowing where the money comes from. The constant drone from the 1% is effective. They buy the laws they need to avoid taxes, hold on to monopoly strangleholds, and tilt the tables for their own pockets.
2/2/2012 By the headlines you would think the Senate is considering insider trading laws for Wall Street. Nope. After a news program exposed insider trading by members of Congress, they are trying to pass a bill to stop it. If you are thinking what does insider trading have to do with the Congress, think again. There are many laws and potential changes in laws that effect companies greatly. Members of Congress have been trading on this information. Pretty sweet for them. For the public, not so sweet. Think of cable companies, power companies, medical companies, etc that need "special attention" from Congress. That special attention gets them insider information that they trade on. Would our elected officials really pass laws that they could turn around and make huge profits from? That's exactly what happens. We will follow this and see if anything passes. One thing we know, we have the best government money can buy!

2/2/2012 Its kind of amazing watching these two debate. Gingrich accuses Romney of not paying much in taxes on his 21 million dollar a year income, and Romney replies that Gingrich wants to lower his tax rate to zero. They both had an uncomfortable laugh on that reply. They both stunned themselves. We seem to be in a race to the bottom in this country. Coddling the wealthy has become something to run a political campaign on. We have a financial tyranny in this country. Democracy means many things. Democracy implies a fairness in the system. Financial Democracy is part of our founders dream.
2/2/2012 Thanks to the trillions of dollars that the Chinese have made flooding our shores with cheap products, China is now in a position of tremendous economic power. So what is China going to do with all of that money? One thing that they have decided to do is to buy up pieces of the United States and set up "special economic zones" inside our country from which they can continue to extend their economic domination. One of these "special economic zones" would be just south of Boise, Idaho and the Idaho government is eager to give it to them. China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach for short) plans to construct a "technology zone" south of Boise Airport which would ultimately be up to 50 square miles in size. The Chinese Communist Party is the majority owner of Sinomach, so the 10,000 to 30,000 acre "self-sustaining city" that is being planned would essentially belong to the Chinese government. The planned "self-sustaining city" in Idaho would include manufacturing facilities, warehouses, retail centers and large numbers of homes for Chinese workers. Basically it would be a slice of communist China dropped right into the middle of the United States. read more >>
2/1/2012 Republicans want to make easy street even easier for the wealthy. There is so much misinformation out there on the subject of taxation. Wealthy people do not work. They have investment income. They are taxed at a 13 to 14% tax rate on their investment. The rest of us pay around 30% on the income we make from paychecks. If you spend all your time on investments, isn't that your job as well? Pay your fair share. The Republicans want to lower this tax rate to zero, all in the guise of they are the job creators. If this were the case. why in the last 10 years have we had no job growth or pay increases for the middle class? Now they call it class warfare. America is a democracy and that includes a reasonable resemblance of having a financial democracy as well. The wealth stack the deck, embrace monopolies that tilt the tables in their favor. All our laws are the best money can buy.
2/1/2012 America has the largest financial pie in the world. Saying we are broke is such a joke. If you have 4 people for dinner and you have a pie for dessert and 2 more people show up, then what do you do? Say we do not have any pie for them? The fact is 99% of the wealth is in 1% of the hands. This is financial tyranny. We are far from broke. This is a convenient way for wealthy people to get rid of all social programs to balance the budget. The ideals of America stand for fairness. What we have now is far from fair. Its a disgrace. We are the 99%, and it will take all of us to say enough is enough and take back this government.
2/1/2012 The costs of health care unfairly discriminates against older workers. The cost of health insurance for older workers is far greater than that of younger workers. This creates a significant difference for employers hiring new employees. This is unacceptable, when an older worker pays for health care their entire life and when they need it most and need to keep working, they are cut off from both. Some kind of democracy we have here.
1/4/2012 We have our brave young people fight our wars, setup schools and health care for other countries, but America gets second rate attention. We have a Democracy right? Let me share some thoughts with you. We have large states with a 30 million plus population. Each state has 2 senators. Some states have less than 600,000 people. The small states have an equal vote in the Senate to block legislation. No wonder we cannot come to a consensus in this country. What kind of democracy is run by a minority of the population?
1/4/2012 It looks like it took well over $10 million to have a winner come out of the Iowa primary process. There is only 3 million people in the state. Already candidates are dropping out or very close to giving up. Only 1 state and 3 million people will narrow your choices on the Republican side as to who will run for President. A few more states and the nominee will be selected and 98% of Americans will have nothing to say about it. The same process exists for both parties. This is Democracy?
1/4/2012 The US banks are rapidly moving to making loans in Europe. The economic climate in Europe is in deep trouble and the US banks are picking up assets on the cheap. The very banks that were bailed out by the American taxpayer cannot make loans in America but have no problem building another countries economy.
7/29/2010 Washington DC - As the jobless sink lower and lower, the Republicans are trying to trade keeping wealthy people's tax rates half of what the rest of us pay. They want to frame it as the largest tax increase in history but of course the propaganda machine lies continue. The Republicans have also proposed removing the inheritance tax completely. We already have limits on what level can be inherited, but of course the wealthy want it all.
4/21/2010 For all the ills of social media, finally there is a place it can find its day in the spotlight. Social Democracy. The demonstrations of the 60's only lacked such a meeting ground for all to the spread the news about what was really going on. The tyranny of the banks and corporations have taken modern societies to the brink of a global melt down. I suppose 99% of the wealth was simply not good enough for the 1% that controls it all. The day has come for these plutocrats to answer to us all. Thy still want more tax breaks and credits, to seduce us into creating jobs. What a total joke. We have come to realize that the ballot box and simply writing our government representatives is NOT good enough. We must have feet on the street with protests to scare the politicians into meaningful change.
